Runners of all ages are invited to participate in this 5K. The certified course, with computerized race results, starts and finishes at Crosswinds. Packet pick-up is the day of the race, from 7 to 8:15am. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group at a 10am ceremony, and post-race refreshments will be provided. Proceeds benefit the Patient Special Needs Fund of the Wilmot Cancer Institute's Sands Cancer Center on the Thompson Health campus in Canandaigua. This fund helps Sands Cancer Center patients who are undergoing active treatment and who are undergoing active treatment and have identified financial constraints. If assists with the unexpected costs of a long illness, providing financial assistance for necessities such as groceries, fuel for transportation to/from medical appointments, and specialized medical needs.
