Weed Pickup Delayed by Unexpected Truck Repairs

The AVMP’s six-wheel dump truck broke down this week and parts have been ordered.  The 2018 operations were originally scheduled to start July 2, however, the crew hoped to meet several individual/neighborhood requests for early harvesting and shoreline pickups this week.  As the dump truck is used to transport weeds from the offload site, these requests will be addressed when the truck is repaired. The crew is marking waterlines for those who requested this service. Shoreline property owners are reminded that all waterlines extending into the lake must be marked with a buoy to avoid damage from harvesting operations.

Thank you to all residents who are staying in touch regarding harvesting preferences and shoreline pickups. More information will be posted as soon as the truck is ready to go.
