Notice of Public Hearing Ontario County

Ontario County will hold a public hearing on August 22, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. to be held at the Safety Training Facility, 2914 County Road 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424.   The purpose of the hearing is to obtain citizen comments regarding the County’s housing, community development, and economic development needs and to provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the potential of the County submitting a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application to the New York State Office of Community Renewal for funding to support the expansion of operations of Z-Axis, Inc. in the Town of Phelps.  The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Sub-part I of the CFR and in compliance with the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.  The hearing facility is handicapped accessible.  A summary of the CDBG program will be presented at the public hearing as well as detail regarding the proposed application.  The County encourages public comment and participation in the identification of needs and in the preparation of the grant application.  Written comments are invited and will be accepted upon delivery to the office of the Office of Economic Development, 20 Ontario St., Suite 106B, Canandaigua, NY 14424 or suzanne.vary@co.ontario.ny.us until 5:00 p.m. on August 22, 2019.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED

LOCAL LAW OF ONTARIO COUNTY

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Board of Supervisors of Ontario County at the Ontario County Safety Training Facility, 2914 County Road 48, Canandaigua, New York on August 22, 2019, at 6:30 P.M. concerning proposed Local Law No. 4 (Intro.) of 2019, entitled “A Local Law Pursuant to Chapter 97-2011 of the Laws of the State of New York and Section 3-c of the General Municipal Law Overriding Tax Levy Limit for Fiscal Year 2020”, which provides:

For fiscal year 2020, the County of Ontario shall override the real property tax levy limit established by Chapter 97 of the Laws of 2011 of the State of New York and may adopt a budget requiring a tax levy that is greater than such tax levy limit.

At such time and place all persons interested in the subject matter thereof will be heard concerning the same.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Ontario, New York will meet at the Safety Training Facility, 2914 County Road 48, Canandaigua, Ontario County, New York on the 22nd day of August, 2019, at 6:30 PM for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on a proposal to establish a county sewer district extension in and for the county, to be known as the Canandaigua Lake County Sewer District – Creekview Apartments at Woodland Park Extension, in accordance with a petition and certain maps filed with said Board of Supervisors by the Ontario County Commissioner of Public Works acting as the County Sewer Agency, at which time and place said Board of Supervisors will consider such proposal and hear all parties interested therein concerning the same.

            It is proposed that such county sewer district extension shall comprise one area in the Town of Canandaigua adjoining the existing sewer district at one place as shown on the map filed with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors and described as follows:

            The improvements proposed for said county sewer district extension will consist of a sewage pumping station and force main, gravity sewers and other appurtenant facilities as constructed and paid for by users within the extension area.

            There will be no expenditure for said improvements by the Canandaigua Lake County Sewer District or the County of Ontario.  Sewer Rents will be used to pay for future maintenance and repair of said gravity sewers and other appurtenant facilities.
