Notice of an annual 30-day period for landowner to request inclusion in an Agricultural District.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, In accordance with Article 25 AA §303-b. of the New York State Agriculture and Markets Law, this Board of Supervisors is required to establish an annual thirty (30) day period within which a landowner may submit to the Board of Supervisors a request for inclusion of viable agricultural land within a certified agricultural district prior to the county established review period; and

 PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, That landowners may propose additions to any certified agricultural district by filing such proposal on the form available with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors or on line by going to between November 1 and November 30, 2018, pursuant to Board of Supervisors Resolution No. 294-04; and

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, Such proposal shall identify the agricultural district into which the land is proposed to be included, describe such land, and include the tax map identification number; and

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, That at the termination of this thirty (30) day period, the District and proposed parcels for inclusions will be submitted to the Ontario County Agriculture Enhancement Board for review and subsequent recommendation to the Ontario County Board of Supervisors who will make the final recommendation to the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets.

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Board of Supervisors of Ontario County at the Ontario County Safety Training Facility, 2914 County Road 48, Canandaigua, New York,  on the 6th day of  December,  2018, at 6:30 p.m. concerning proposed Local Law No. 8  (Intro) of  2018, entitled "A Local Law Pursuant to Chapter 97-2011 of the Laws of the State of New York and Section 3-c of the General Municipal Law Overriding Tax Levy Limit for Fiscal Year 2019," which provides:     

The Board of Supervisors intends by this local law to repeal Local Law No.2 of 2018, which provided the County of Ontario shall override the real property tax levy limit established by Chapter 97 of the Laws of 2011 of the State of New York and may adopt a budget requiring a tax levy that is greater than such tax levy limit.  

At such time and place all persons interested in the subject matter thereof will be heard concerning the same.
