County Road 33 Reconstruction: 2018

Road Closure Information
Ramsey Constructors, Inc., (Ramsey) of Lakeville, New York, anticipates starting the replacement of the culvert located under the Egypt Road intersection the week of August 6th, 2018.

This phase of the project will require the closure of the Egypt Road intersection to safely complete the culvert replacement work.  An off-site vehicular detour will be posted as follows:

    Southbound CR33 - US 20A, NY 64, CR34
    Northbound CR33 - CR34, NY 64, US 20A

We anticipate the intersection will be re-opened on or before September 3rd, 2018.

What's Happening Now?
Ramsey has been working on drainage improvements, retaining wall replacements, stream bank stabilization, & spot pavement repairs. Immediately following drainage, retaining wall, & stream bank stabilization work, Ramsey will begin work on road reconstruction; then HMA base & binder courses should be installed by end of September 2018. HMA top course paving and other incidental work over the entire project length should be completed by end of October 2018.

You can continue to expect temporary travel lane and shoulder closures during construction. After the Egypt Road culvert is complete, we anticipate CR 33 will remain open to through traffic for the rest of the project, with a minimum of one (1) travel lane. Work Zone Traffic Control will be provided daily using flag personnel and temporary traffic signals.

Please be patient and keep focused on the end product.
