Ontario County
Local Law No. 8 of 2002 A Local Law Imposing a Surcharge on Wireless Communications Devices within the County of Ontario. Be it enacted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Ontario as Follows: SECTION 1: Pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of Section 308-a of the County Law of the State of New York, there is hereby imposed a surcharge of thirty cents ($.30) per month on each wireless communications device within the County of Ontario, subject to the restrictions set forth herein. SECTION 2: The surcharge provided for herein shall not apply to wireless communications devices of the County of Ontario, or any municipal entity within the County of Ontario. SECTION 3: All wireless communications service suppliers shall begin to add the thirty cent ($.30) per month surcharge as provided for herein to all service bills issued after January 1, 2003, subject to the exclusions set forth herein. SECTION 4: This local law shall take effect immediately upon filing in accordance with the provisions of Section 20, 21 and 27 of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York. |
