IMPORTANT NOTICE!  CHANGE IN ASSESSMENT ROLL CALENDAR FOR THE
CITY OF CANANDAIGUA

Pursuant to Local Law #4 of 2008 the preparation of the 2009 assessment roll will follow a new schedule.  Property owners should take note that the filing deadline for exemption applications will advance two months to MARCH FIRST!

•  July 1………Valuation date
• March 1……Taxable status date.  Exemption applications are DUE. Note: ***New filing deadline for exemptions is MARCH FIRST***
• May l……….Tentative assessment roll filed.  Assessments are complete; Property owner notifications are mailed.
• 4th Tuesday in May…Grievance Day.  The Board of Assessment Review meets to hear assessment complaints.
• July 1………Final assessment roll is filed.
