The last day of harvesting for the season will be September 22, 2011. Postcards will be sent to Honeoye lakefront homeowners as a reminder to remove waterline markers as soon after September 22, 2011 as possible in order to avoid damage from cold weather and ice.

For the remainder of the season, harvesting operations will continue along the entire shoreline, concentrating on the areas with the heaviest vegetation. The amount of vegetation at the south end is above average as compared to the rest of the lake. Algae levels appear to be low.

The California Ranch site will be used as an unloading site for the remainder of the season, since the New York State Boat Launch site will be closed for construction.

Harvesting operations will continue on the south end of Honeoye Lake and work along the east side up to Sunny Hollow and the west side up to Pickerel Point with the harvester covering approximately one-third of the southern portion of the lake.  The New York State Boat Launch site will be used as an unloading site. The amount of vegetation at the south end is above average as compared to the rest of the lake. Algae levels appear to be low.

Harvesting operations will continue at the mid-lake point on Honeoye Lake and work along the east side from Sunny Hollow to Times Union and the west side from Pickerel Point to Sandy Bottom.  The California Ranch site will be used as an unloading site. The amount of vegetation at the mid-lake point is average. An abundance of algae has been spotted along the length of the lake.

Harvesting operations will continue at the mid-lake point on Honeoye Lake and work along the east side from Burns Point to Times Union and the west side from Pickerel Point to Conway Drive.  The California Ranch site will be used as an unloading site. The amount of vegetation at the mid-lake point is average.  An abundance of algae has been spotted, especially along the east side of Honeoye Lake.

Harvesting operations will begin on the north end of Honeoye Lake and work along the east side from Sandy Bottom down to Times Union and the west side from Sandy Bottom down to the Canadice-Richmond line. Harvesting operations will also continue at the mid-lake point on Honeoye Lake and work along the east side from Sunny Hollow to Times Union and the west side from Pickerel Point to Sandy Bottom.  The California Ranch and Honeoye Lake Park Association sites will be used as unloading sites.
