The federal Supplement Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) Program formally known as Food Stamp Program is administered by DSS. Individuals and families receiving public assistance, as well as non-public assistance families are eligible to apply.

Apply Online - You may apply for SNAP using the internet if you live in New York State by going to myBenefits.ny.gov. After your application is filed, the local Department of Social Services office will review your information, conduct an interview, and determine your household's eligibility for benefits.

Applications are accepted at either the Hopewell or Geneva DSS offices, open Monday through Friday from 8:30am until 2:00pm.
