Don't Wait. Communicate.
If emergencies were announced ahead of time and occurred only when convenient, they wouldn't really be emergencies, would they? Some simple planning with your family members can make a difficult time much less scary and stressful.

Winter is just around the corner. A winter day in the Finger Lakes can start sunny and bright and end with snow, ice, downed power lines, and treacherous roads. September is an opportune time for families to sit down and discuss what to do when the unexpected happens.
