Severe injury and illness often requires hospitalization for a short period of time in order to overcome the acute stage of the illness or injury. Further treatment is often required following the acute stage, referred to as post hospital rehabilitation.

This stage of recover often requires a site other than the hospital to provide the care a person needs to reach optimum wellness. Ontario County Health Facility's rehabilitation staff can give you the care you need.

Our therapy and nursing departments work closely together as a dedicated team to address the physical and emotional needs of you and your family while you recover from:

• orthopedic injuries including fracture and joint replacement
• stroke and other neurological impairments
• cardiopulmonary impairments
• general conditioning following a hospital stay

Our goal is to empower the patient to regain as much independence as possible while in the safe and nurturing environment at Ontario County Health Facility.
