Providing opportunities for walking and cycling can have positive community wide impacts including health benefits, environmental benefits and economic benefits.
The purpose of this study is to make Ontario County Road 16 safer and more attractive for pedestrians and cyclists, while improving safety for all users.
This feasibility study will support the continued development of safe, functional and attractive facilities for biking and walking in Ontario County.

O'Malley, MD, director of the Bariatric Surgery Center at UR Medicine's Highland Hospital, will provide an overview of the types of weight-loss surgery available to patients who are at least 100 pounds overweight; have a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or more; or have a BMI or 35 or more and are experiencing obesity-related health conditions. A bariatric program coordinator will explain the surgical process and the integral role lifestyle and diet changes play in achieving success after surgery.

Cheri Sidoti and Farley Wagner, both physical therapists with Thompson Health Rehabilitation Services, will present a free seminar to teach individuals with lower back pain about their spine and management of pain. The two will discuss spinal anatomy, spinal conditions, and theories about lower back pain and basic management techniques. Designed for the person with occasional back pain, this seminar is not intended to substitute for medical care.

This new group has formed out of the need for honesty and support amongst mothers struggling with a mood and/or anxiety disorder that occurs during pregnancy, or after the birth of a new baby. This includes mothers struggling with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Facilitated by Maureen Kellogg of Thompson's Social Work Department, Thompson Health Lactation Consultant/RN Courtney Phillips and a volunteer from the community, the group will offer moms a "safe space" to be transparent about motherhood, mental health, and all the little things in between, providing opportunities to talk with others who have been through or are currently walking through this same season of life.
