Governor Cuomo Announces Postponement of April Elections
Governor Cuomo on March 28, 2020 signed an executive order postponing the April 28, 2020 Presidential Primary and the 27th Congressional Special Election until June 23, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a joint statement, Ontario County Board of Elections Commissioners, Michael Northrup and Charlie Evangelista said, “We support the decision to reschedule the April Elections to June 23, 2020 in order to keep Ontario County voters, elections inspectors, and associated staff as safe as possible.”

Effective March 23, 2020, the Board of Elections will be open from 9 AM until 1 PM only in compliance with Governor Cuomo’s directive to reduce staffing.
Voters wishing to visit the office must make an appointment in advance by calling 585.396.4005. Additionally, office staff will be reduced to one Commissioner and one Deputy Commissioner per shift until further notice.
